Crocus
Expo in Russia
Russia is witnessing a boom in the construction
of exhibition facilities, heralding a larger
number of exhibitions to be held in the nation.
There are about 500 companies engaged in the
sector, including Bebeze, Crocus Expo, MVK,
LEN EXPO, Restek, Fig, Maxima, etc.
Crocus Expo is at the center of overseas attention
in Russia. In October, it enlarged its space
to 86,000 sq. meters. Although young, Crocus
Expo has already held Ambiente and Interstoff
Russia fairs organized by German exhibition
specialists, and has staged more than 10 expos
on its own. EXCO is looking for ways to cooperate
with Russia¡¯s exhibition centers in order to
help Korean companies promote exchanges with
their counterparts in Russia. |

Media
Force in Turkey
With the geographical advantage of connecting
Europe, the Middle East and the CIS, Turkey
has the potential of becoming a regional exhibition
industry hub. The Turkish government has committed
itself to fostering the exhibition industry,
which is forecast to grow rapidly.
Despite its relatively short history, the Turkish
expo industry has risen as a new exhibition
market with more than 500 shows a year, including
CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia (IT exhibition), ITSE
(textile exhibition), etc.
Representative organizers include TYUAP and
CNR, which each hold about 100 exhibitions a
year.
One of the distictive fair organizers in Turkey,
Mediaforce recently held Private Label Istanbul,
representing International and Turkish consumer
goods. EXCO has been working as an agent to
promote Mediaforce and the fair in Korea.
