Customers to Open EXCO's Future

2006 is going to be a year of blessings, as we make our way towards the largest number of exhibitions in our history.

EXCO opened in 2001, making Daegu the first provincial city to have its own exhibition center. Expecting intense competition from other cities, that also began to open their own venues, EXCO continues to put forth every effort to set itself apart from its peers by developing regionally-specialized exhibitions and by holding more international events.
EXCO's 'BIG 8' is the result of its strategy of differentiating itself from its rivals. Daegu is the only provincial city to host UFI-approved international shows like DIOPS (eyewear). PID (textile) and DAMEX (automatic machinery) are two major exhibitions that have been held since EXCO's beginning.

KORTEX (textile machinery) and IMID/IDMC (information display meetings and exhibition) are model shows that have made EXCO their home due to combined efforts by Daegu City government, EXCO, and various academic and industrial circles. KORTEX was staged in Seoul for 28 years, but is now in Daegu, the country's major textile and textile-machinery center.

Fire & Safety EXPO Korea(Fire & Safety equipment) is a trend-setter for the country's disaster prevention industries; it creates import substitution opportunities and promotes public awareness of safety issues. KIMOS(Motorcycle) is the nation's largest motorcycle show.In October, 2005 Daegu was designated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as a city of International Meetings. That announcement will trigger a host of changes in infrastructure in and around the city. Therefore EXCO is geared up to join with the national and local governments to bring EXCO to the forefront of the combined effort to bolster the local economy and to help the country's exhibition & convention industry.

EXCO will continue to do its best to differentiate itself at home and to attract international participation at its shows, while at the same time become more competitive in service quality by pursuing a customer-first policy. It will help exhibitors maximize the return on their investment by developing new techniques of effectively matching potential buyers with potential sellers. It will increase its cooperation with hosts and participants alike to make its shows entertaining and valuable. Through such efforts, we want to convince companies that exhibitions are their most effective marketing tools.
You customers have made EXCO what it is today, and will continue to nurture the future of EXCO.
