EXCO
will march on |
|
Like other past years, EXCO did
all it could do this year to help shape better future
of Daegu. We organized and hosted trade shows to boost
local economy. We contributed to the broader awareness
of sustainable growth by hosting Solar Cities Congress.
We provided the people with opportunities to experience
and to take the importance of fire safety more seriously.
Motorcycle show, textile machinery show, cyber
game show and other unique events held at EXCO lately
were some results of our exploration for the better
and prosperous future for all.
We kept on our bold pace in the face of many challenges
this year, as we did before and as we will do in
the future.
We still have some more high profile events ahead.
Daegu International Optical Show (DIOPS), Daegu
International Automatic Machinery & Tools Exhibition
(DAMEX 2004), and Solar Cities Congress & Green
Energy EXPO will upgrade EXCO? image and capability.
We EXCO people know that no easy road lies ahead
of us. But we do not intend to stop our steps. We
believe that every time we cross a trouble water
we are getting stronger. With this belief in mind,
we will keep go on next year and further.

Korea International Textile Machinery
Exhibition 2004 (KORTEX 2004) |
|
 |
The
biggest textile machine show ever
KORTEX seemed much nicer at the hometown of Korea
textile industry, Daegu. The 15th Korea International
Textile Machinery Exhibition (KORTEX 2004) was the
first KORTEX show that was held out of Seoul since
it was launched 28 years ago. This year the show
had more buyers and visitors than previous events
ever, making the show¡¯s dimension much more multifold.
The buyers not only looked through the booths and
checked out the products, but some of them visited
factories that are located in and near Daegu. Total
844 overseas buyers from 47 countries came for this
show, and total number of participants reached 11.2
thousand. Specifically, big buyers of textile machinery
from China, Vietnam, Egypt, and India were content
to have chances to visit Daegu city, where lots
of textile manufacturers were. In a survey conducted
during the show, 91 exhibitors hoped to come back
next show in 2006, and they wanted to use 391 booths,
implying their high satisfaction with the show.
