Booth design is the focal point of an exhibition. A booth is multi-purposed space where items are displayed and business talking and bargaining is occurred. Some of the best booth designers in DIOPS 2003 talked about their secrets of booth design.

EXCO will install solar power generation system soon, for its own consumption. EXCO solar power plan is a part of Daegu city's Solar City Program, which aims to increase the use of renewable energy for the sustainable future of the city and the country. EXCO's decision to change its power source is regarded as the boldest step ever among solar programs in the metropolitan city of Daegu, which will host 2004 International Solar City Conference this year organized by the city and the International Solar Energy Society. EXCO solar power system is expected to draw national interest too. Once new power supply system is installed, EXCO will be a model building for renewable energy utilization.

90 meter-long rooftop of EXCO will be covered with 1,465 solar modules (panels), System peak capacity reaching 110kW. EXCO solar power system will generate 133,206kW per year.

More Educational & Cultural Events Coming

One of important functions of convention & exhibition centers is organizing educational and cultural events. Since the center was opened in 2001, EXCO organized or hosted Daegu Art EXPO, Math & Science Fair, and exhibitions related to history and civilization building, to be applauded by community members as having positive impact on education. EXCO is playing bigger role of providing cultural experiences to the community every year, complementing lack of performance facilities in the community.
Cultural events taking place at EXCO, 'Exploration of Egypt', 'Japanese Monkey School' performance, and 'Exhibition of Mathematical & Scientific Art' can be outstanding experiences for students who are in winter vacations. Upcoming Musical 'The Cats' encore performance (February 21-March 7 2004) and Daegu Art EXPO 2004 (March 26-April 4 2004) also will be delightful events for the community members.
