As EXCOs mobility rate being expected to reaches 70% this year, which figure is double of rival exhibition centers, it enjoys the fame of the most successful exhibition center nationally.
Development of locally specialized exhibitions leads to the activation of local businesses and enhanced competitiveness of local economy. Through this process EXCO contributed to Daegus economy and secured its own locally based powerful exhibitions at the same time, showing off its special ability in exhibitions planning and implementing.
This result was made possible by EXCOs pursuit of independent way of doing business, holding the strong connection with local economies, which is way different from those of exhibition centers in Seoul, Busan, and Jeju.
EXCO also focused on hosting conventions closely related to its own exhibitions and local business, taking its own differentiated route from other centers of the country. International Optical Industry Forum was related to DIOPS and some international level seminars were made possible by the hosting of Information Display Exhibition. Fire EXPO attracted Asia-Oceania Symposium on Fire Science & Technology. To keep pace with Daegu citys emphasis on solar city policy, EXCO brought in the first. All of these examples are resulted from EXCOs effort to boost exhibitions and conventions altogether.
Pursuing progress in the quality of the exhibitions and conventions, EXCO hopes to enlarge the base of local conference & exhibition industry by making a favorable environment for the exhibition organizers and event planners.
To this end EXCO opened its Seoul office last June. Seoul office will work to expand its marketing ground from Daegu to Seoul and Kyung-gi province.
