| The Digital Entertainment Industry Exposition
2001, the first of its kind held in Korea, was a comprehensive
marketing arena for the culture industry aimed at strengthening
the competitive edge through expanding the scope of
the culture industry in Korea and through technological
exchanges as well as at revitalizing the culture industry
in the area. During the Exposition, not only the general
public but students also had the valuable opportunity
to experience the new breed of digital culture.
The Exposition was comprised of games, characters,
animation/comics, video/audio, cyber culture, cultural
products, and educational institutions related to
the culture industry.
Fifty-four companies including Samsung, Sambo, LG
Electronics, Korea Telecom as well as Daegu's leading
software developers Husenet, Neon System and Iyagi
participated in the Exposition in 171 booths. Also,
Korea Educational Consulting, Lee Chan-Jin Computer
Class and other companies engaged in on-off line education
took part in the Exposition and provided the direction
for the development of the present and future digital
culture industry through an industrial-educational
alliance.
The Digital Culture Experimental Space, comprised
of game contests, demonstration of motion captures,
comic rooms, animation theaters and game experimental
halls, won the favor of the participants.
